Health Research Engineer Intern 2026

Voloridge Health is seeking a Research Engineer Intern to assist in a variety of tasks centered on the development of high-performance research tools and applications, and the productionalization of sophisticated proprietary models.

Summary of Job Functions

  • Work with Voloridge Health researchers on a variety of software engineering projects, focused around application design, proprietary modeling techniques and linear algebra
  • Develop and design UI features, incorporating feedback from researchers
  • Participate in the team’s software development process and standards
  • Become proficient with the team’s technology stacks and tooling
  • Conduct research on best practices in software development
  • Create and maintain engineering and operational documentation, where applicable

Minimum Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Experience with programming languages and frameworks such as Python, C++, JavaScript, React
  • Ability to work onsite in our Jupiter, Florida office (not a remote role). Housing and transportation provided where applicable.

Preferred Skills and Previous Experience

  • Completion of at least three years of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent field of study
  • Familiarity with statistics and data modeling
  • Willingness to experiment and receive feedback
  • Strong math background with a focus on linear algebra and optimization
  • Extremely detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • High curiosity with a deep problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Willing to tackle challenging problems and hungry to learn
