Founded in 2023 with the same data science background that has propelled its sister company, Voloridge Investment Management, as an award-winning quantitative hedge fund.</p><p>We are looking for a <strong>Senior Software Engineer</strong> to build a cutting-edge health diagnostics platform and implement and maintain mission critical cloud-based applications and services.</p><p><strong>Summary of Job&nbsp;Functions</strong></p><p><u>Innovate and Develop</u></p><ul><li>Lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-based applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and exceptional user experience</li><li>Solve hard technical challenges, with empirically grounded solutions, like designing backend systems to support mobile and web applications with large numbers of concurrent users</li><li>Design and implement robust software architectures that support advanced data processing and innovative end user features</li><li>Provide technical direction to junior and intern level software engineers&nbsp;</li></ul><p><u>Collaborate Across Disciplines</u></p><ul><li>Work closely with data scientists, product managers, and UX/UI designers to translate complex health data into intuitive, actionable insights for users</li><li>Create documentation and diagrams to communicate designs and system capabilities to technical and non-technical audiences</li></ul><p><u>Ensure Quality and Compliance</u></p><ul><li>Continually review application and operations performance and collaborate with other team members to identify technical debt, increase operating efficiency, or to adapt to new requirements</li><li>Debug and optimize new and existing applications, and maintain high levels of test coverage</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 10 years&nbsp;of experience in software development, demonstrating proficiency in building scalable applications</li><li>Bachelor's degree preferred or understanding of the fundamentals of computer science, including appropriate use of data structures and algorithms</li><li>Expertise in programming languages such as Python and C#, with additional experience in Rust considered a plus</li><li>Proficiency with Azure and/or AWS cloud services</li><li>Strong experience using SQL to build and troubleshoot data-driven functionality, preferably with databases such as SQL Server, ClickHouse, or Snowflake</li><li>Strong experience designing and deploying scalable microservices and APIs (e.g., REST, gRPC) for secure, performant data integration</li><li>Remote work options available</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills and Previous Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Experience developing software solutions in the healthcare sector</li><li>Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g. HIPAA) and experience implementing security best practices in software development</li><li>Experience developing streaming data systems including using services like: Kinesis/Kafka, Aws Lambda/ECS, Aws Elastic Cache/Redis</li><li>Experience designing cost-effective, scalable cloud-based systems</li><li>Experience with containerization (Docker) and/or orchestration (Kubernetes)</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive base salary</li><li>Health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance</li><li>401K</li><li>Credit and Identity Monitoring Service</li></ul><p>Voloridge Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer. This role involves translating research findings into actionable insights for product development, ensuring that our innovative health solutions are grounded in the latest scientific discoveries.   </p><p><strong>Summary of Job Functions</strong>  </p><ul>  <li>Manage and hire the translational      research team to connect basic and applied research, translating data science      driven discoveries into applications that can directly benefit consumers  </li><li>Lead the buildout of internal      knowledge base of interventions through personal knowledge, biomedical      literature and research as well as collaboration with internal research      and technical departments  </li><li>Conduct research and testing of      new technologies and scientific hypotheses and present findings to      internal stakeholders.
